The Fourhouse Villa is a contemporary residential project located in the scenic garden-residential district of Ab Sard City. Designed with an inward-focused, introverted concept, the villa invites its residents to embrace a sense of peace, stillness, and slow living within its tranquil interior spaces.
The architectural concept draws inspiration from the traditional Iranian Charbagh (Four-Garden) layout—two perpendicular axes that intersect at a central core. This core, illuminated by a skylight, becomes the spatial and symbolic heart of the building. Four minimalist cubic volumes extend from this illuminated center, creating a unified and balanced composition.
Beyond providing daylight, the skylight enhances spatial layering and depth, offering a meditative rhythm of movement and pause throughout the interiors. Strategically placed openings in all four cardinal directions promote cross-ventilationand natural cooling—perfectly suited to the region's cold climate.
Brick was selected as the primary façade material to reinforce the structure's four-sided geometry and to evoke a sense of purity and timelessness. With its high thermal mass, brick is also a smart climatic response to Ab Sard’s cold winters, improving energy efficiency and retaining warmth.
This material choice, when paired with the minimalist architectural language, reflects a functional yet refined approach—one that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings while amplifying the experience of inner calm and architectural clarity.
